AntFarm is a 501(c)(3) youth and family community center focused around local sustainability and youth empowerment. The organization helps local youth develop job skills through various programs and also serves as a hub for community activities.

One element of AntFarm's mission involves operating a 1.5 acre organic market garden. Youth from the community serve in formal and informal volunteer roles in this space and goods are sold to community members at a weekly farmers' market.

We are currently seeking Summer/Fall interns to assist our garden director in daily garden management. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, greenhouse maintenance, seeding, compost care, watering, weeding, and harvesting. Interns may also assist with market operations and other events. Experience is appreciated, but not necessary. This is an unpaid internship, but fresh produce and knowledge will be provided in abundance.

For more information or to join the AntFarm garden crew, contact Jamie at (712) 251.5484 or via email at jmeholub (at) gmail (dot) com with a subject line of "AntFarm Garden Internship."
