Arrival of Summer
Warm days and sunny skies bring life, color and happiness to the Oregon Tilth Demonstration Garden this summer!
All at Once...
It's a busy Spring in the Demonstration Garden at Luscher Farm. Huge thanks to our hard-working volunteers for keeping the garden weed free and well tended. Take a virtual tour of our beautiful, bountiful, and vibrant teaching space!
Spring Intensive
Tantalizing windows of sunshine during this fickle Spring lend to a rather chaotic bed-preparation and planting regimen.
Straw Bale Bonanza

Just as we step from Spring's starting-line, the month of March has us feeling somewhat winded already - but surely satisfied. This week marks the culmination of our initial Comprehensive Organic Gardener (COG) course, as well as most of our early spring plantings.

Friends, Partners, Volunteers, and Students - We Need Your Input!
Luscher Farm, home of Oregon Tilth's Organic Demonstration Garden sits on the Urban Growth Boundary of Portland, OR. As a public park, working farm, community garden, and teaching space, Luscher Farm provides a valuable, and unique, gathering place for the community. It is a regional destination, both historic and progressive in nature, and it needs our ongoing attention! If you've visited, or hope to visit in the future, please complete this online survey, and tell us about your relationship to Luscher Farm. Your input will help inform a master plan for the next quarter century - preserving, protecting, and enhancing this precious agricultural resource of the Willamette Valley!
OK, NOW it's Spring...Notes From the Field.

Tilth Represents at PDX Food and Climate Day
Between tabling at City Hall's organic garden rededication and sitting on a climate discussion panel alongside author Anna Lappé, Oregon Tilth had a major presence at Portland's Food and Climate Day.
Spring, COGgers, and Cloches
Spring in the demonstration garden means a lot of things: seedlings are sprouting, greens are growing, shot-weed has shot, volunteers are our saviors, onions are out, the wind is relentless, and classes are everything!
