Oregon Tilth in NoPo!

In preparation for our upcoming Urban Growth Bounty classes, we took advantage of a sunny day in North Portland, and put a good dose of elbow grease into preparing demonstration beds at the Faubion School Garden.  We at the Organic Education Center are VERY grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the active Faubion school garden committee, the SUN Community School program, and Growing Gardens.  We've been working closely with these partners to insure that our organic gardening classes will help to compliment the long-term vision for the space, while providing additional resources for the garden community.  It was an intensely satisfying day of digging, which transformed an impenetrable rocky hard-pan into four decidedly luscious and exceedingly tilthy garden beds!  Please check out the photos, and we hope to see you in the garden sometime soon!
