Gathering Together Farm
A 30 Acre local Willamette Valley diverse farm where everyone is treated like family.
Along the Mary's River, at the edge of the Coastal Range, Sally Brewer, John Eveland, Joelene Jebbia and Rodrigo Garcia gather together to create their bountiful harvest. They manage approximately 30 acres of "small, odd shaped fields" to grow over 40 different varieties of vegetables. They have been doing this for 15 years, and profess to be "diversified to the point of Chaos"!
Diversity is one of the keystones of the farm. Each year they sell over 40 different types of vegetables of over 100 different varieties through the Farm Stand and booths at local farmers' markets. They also grow vegetables for the First Alternative Co-op, Nearly Normal's Restaurant (John is an owner), Big River, Sam's Station and many other local, Corvallis, OR restaurants. They distribute wholesale quantities of many items through Organically Grown Company. Their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) membership program continues to grow and now includes over 190 households in Corvallis, Philomath, Portland, and Newport.
