About the IGT

In Good Tilth is Oregon Tilth's bi-monthly magazine, and serves as a primary educational tool for the organization.

IGT woodcutIn Good Tilth magazine is the premier voice in the sustainable agriculture movement, and has been breaking ground in the organic movement long before mainstream media caught up.

Each issue of IGT offers valuable insights on the sustainable ag movement from seed to plate. Its themes are timeless. Features include yard and garden tips, tools from extension agents, producer profiles; research updates and innovative news; classified ads and a calendar of upcoming events in the Northwest and beyond.

IGT content is of the highest quality and have been reprinted extensively. Utne Reader features our authors Joel Preston Smith and Conner Voss recently.

IGT also highlights Oregon Tilth's ongoing role in advocating for a sustainable food future.

Since 2004, every issue of IGT also features several articles translated into Spanish.

How can I find the IGT?

In Good Tilth distribution is both subscription and pickup locations.

It is mailed directly to Oregon Tilth supporting members as well as certified organic farmers and handlers throughout North America and the world. Please see our Membership section.

IGT is also bulk-distributed at pickup locations like natural food stores and retail nurseries throughout the Northwest and Midwest. Why you should advertise

Contributions in the form of letters to the editor, photos, investigative stories, personal profiles, comments and anecdotes are encouraged. Display ad and classified ads are available.
