Comprehensive Organic Gardener Program
Join us this Spring to experience the busy season in our thriving Organic Demonstration Garden! Learn the foundations of self-sufficient,
sustainable, and abundant organic gardening.

This program runs from March 14 - April 4 and takes place Wednesday evenings 6:00-8:00pm and Saturdays 10-3pm.
COG classes are held in two locations:
Wednesday evenings at the Sellwood Community Center and Saturday's at Luscher Farm,just outside of Portland.
This multi-session program in organic vegetable gardening is designed as a hands-on course, introducing beginning gardeners to the dynamic world of organic gardening while getting your hands dirty in the process! This series is a must for people new to gardening in general and people who have recently moved to the Pacific Northwest. It is an ideal blend of practical instruction and scientific fundamentals - paralleled with hands-on time working in the organic demonstration gardens. By the end, you will feel more confident and secure in your organic gardening ventures.
Oregon Tilth offers this program in partnership with Seattle Tilth, our northerly sister organization. In this unique and popular course, students can expect to learn all of the basic concepts involved in organic food gardening; including building healthy soil, garden planning, crop rotation techniques, planting techniques, year 'round gardening strategies, organic pest and disease control, water conservation practices, and seed saving. - $250 or $225 for Tilth members
- Students receive the COG notebook full of gardening resources, a Maritime Northwest Garden Guide, and certificate upon completion

7 days prior to the class start date. Your full class fee can be fully
refunded minus a $20 service fee. Requests for cancellations received
less than 7 days from the class start will not receive a refund.
