Want to have chickens in your backyard and get fresh eggs every day? Come see the Rodale Institute's chicken operation and find out how easy it is to start your own. Instructors will show you how to start and make the chicks part of your family. Topics include: cost, breeds, options in housing, how to feed and keep them healthy, some challenges with predators and how to handle them. You’ll take home a list of books and other resources that will simplify your project and shorten the time from start to finish, so you can enjoy a fresh egg from your own chicken in no time.

Pre-registration required

Instructors: Hue Karreman, VMD and Ross Duffield

Price: $60.00
