If you haven’t visited the farm before and are interested in what it takes to produce locally grown dry beans, grains and flours, don’t miss this opportunity to tour one of the farms leading the transition to growing certified organic staple crops for local consumption.
Stalford Seed Farm invites all their friends and supporters, old and new, to come meet the farm staff, view the crops in the field, and learn about the realities of growing dry beans, grains, and edible seeds in the WillametteValley.
Stalford Seed Farm
32345 McLagan Road
Tangent, OR 97389 (map)
Family owned and operated, the Stalfords took the lead in 2003 when they began to transition acreage to organic and to experiment with growing hard red wheat. They are currently growing hard red and soft white wheat, oats and dry-land beans.
Transportation
We encourage carpooling efforts; people will need to make their own arrangements.
This is a FREE event. We will be providing snacks and refreshments, much of it made with products from our farm and other local farms.
Sponsored by Willamette Seed & Grain: Willamette Seed and Grain is a collaborative effort by farmers, processors, and consultants; our motto is “Growing in the Valley…for the Valley”. We are 100% local.
