Jayne Miller, owner and operator of Grape Lane Poultry Farm, an original 1800’s Oregon Pioneer Farm, will discuss fundamental technical information about harness types, proper collar fit, plows, equipment, soil types vs. plow types and Amish contacts for harness and plow purchases.
Jaime Rickard, training instructor, will cover in detail the amazing results using Natural Horsemanship Techniques to teach the plowperson and horse the magic of trust and communication that can happen between human and horse. Jaime has had the rare opportunity to study under Monty Roberts, the internationally renowned horse whisperer of which books have been written and the movie “Horse Whisperer” was inspired from. She has also studied under Steve Rother, Tiffany Bush, Billy Jo Anderson, John Lyons, Pat Parelli, Clinton Anderson, Cleve Wells, Jane Savory, Stephen Peterson, and Scott Hansen.
Judy Good, will present valuable information regarding natural barefoot hoof care. She will go into details on getting your horses hooves to function at the same healthy and high performance found in herds of wild Mustangs.
FFA and 4-H students are $10.00 each. Mandatory 4-H or FFA leaders accompany students. Adults $30.00 each
