On Monday August 23rd 2010 Pacific Coast Fruit Company is hosting a Harvest Festival Restaurant and Retail Food Show showcasing Pacific Northwest growers and promoting the availability of local produce and products through Pacific Coast Fruit Company. Our list of participants this year includes over 30 growers from throughout the Pacific Northwest, Food Alliance and Oregon Tilth, organizations dedicated to supporting safe and fair working conditions and environmental sustainability in agriculture and the food industry. Throughout the show, Food Alliance educators will conduct seminars and provide tools and resources that promote sustainability and help restaurant and retail operators more easily source and promote local, sustainable products in their establishments. We will conduct warehouse tours, offer product and beverage samples from Alloro Vineyards and Hopworks Brewery. In addition, we are giving away discounts on orders for attending the show and raffling prizes such as IPod’s, IPad’s and a gift certificate to Castagna, the Oregonian’s Restaurant of the year 2010.
The Harvest Festival Restaurant and Retail Food Show is 2PM to 6PM “Farmer’s Market” style
across the street from our building and families including supervised children
are welcome to attend. Come join a
great afternoon of building long lasting partnerships, meeting new friends and seeing
and sampling many of the wonderful products that are grown and made in the
great Pacific Northwest.
