Public Comment
The
National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) invites the public to submit
written comments and/or provide oral comments at its April 2013 business
meeting in Portland, OR. Please note: In order to be considered during
the Spring 2013 meeting, written public comments or requests for
in-person oral comments must be received by 11:59PM ET March 19, 2013.

In-Person Oral Comments
Register
online to provide in-person oral public comments at the meeting. As
listed on the agenda, public comments are scheduled for all 3 days of
the meeting. An open comment period is scheduled on Tuesday, April 9
during which the public can address either multiple items or items not
on the agenda. Other comment periods are scheduled for Wednesday, April
10 and Thursday April 11 specific to Subcommittee presentations. Please
see the agenda for the Subcommittee’s discussion schedule. Each
Subcommittee will complete all activities during their scheduled time
(introduce proposals, listen to public comments, discuss, then
potentially vote on agenda items). When you sign up, make sure you
indicate which Subcommittee you wish to address so we can schedule your
comments before the NOSB votes on those agenda items. All persons making
oral presentations are requested to also provide their comments in
writing via Regulations.gov. Written submissions may contain information
other than that presented at the oral presentation. We also request
that you provide two (2) hard copies of your oral comments for
distribution to the Board members.
