Earth Week's keynote event will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 22 as Eric Schlosser gives the University's 2010 Whiteley Distinguished Lecture, "Sustainability and the Politics of Food," in the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center (Pacific Avenue and Cedar Street). Mr. Schlosser's talk is sponsored in part by New Seasons Market.

Eric Schlosser is one of the leading investigative journalists working in the United States. He is the author of Fast Food Nation and will speak about sustainability and the politics of food. A question and answer session will follow the talk.
