Are you ready to take steps to increase self-sufficiency and reduce your environmental impact, but not sure where to start? This two-week crash course provides an introduction to sustainability and prepares you to start incorporating sustainability into your daily life. Topics and field trips include sustainable gardening, renewable energy, buying local, wildlife habitat, alternative transportation, resources for continued assistance, ways to get involved and more! By the end of the course, you will have created an individualized sustainability plan to fit your needs, interests and abilities. Class will be held partially in the classroom and partially in the field to see examples and learn techniques hands-on.
