Final Extension for FDA'S Proposed Food Safety Rules

On Aug, 8, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it has extended the comment period for two proposed rules under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) The new deadline for comments on the Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food and Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption proposed rules is Nov. 15.

On Aug, 8, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it has extended the comment period for two proposed rules under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) The new deadline for comments on the Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food and Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption proposed rules is Nov. 15. FDA extended the deadline to allow interested groups time to closer examine the recently proposed rules for the Foreign Supplier Verification Program and Accreditation of Third-Party Auditors and how they may interrelate.
