National Organic Program Amends the National List of Allowed Substances for Handling §206.605(a)(b) & §205.606: Pectin, potassium iodide, yeast, hops, and more.

National Organic Program Amends the National List of Allowed Substances for Handling §206.605(a)(b) & §205.606:
The National Organic Program has announced that §206.605(a)(b) & §205.606 will be amended as shown below. The effective dates for the amendments are shown in the right column.

Growth on petrochemical substrate and sulfite waste liquor is prohibited. For smoked yeast, non-synthetic smoke flavoring process must be documented. | October 21, 2012 |
