National Organic Program (NOP) head Miles McEvoy presented priorities, accomplishments, updates, and plans for NOP on Oct. 25 at the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) meeting in Madison, WI. Presenters noted a new NOP audit by the Office of the Inspector General covering organic milk compliance; upcoming draft guidance on nutrient vitamins and minerals and “made with organic” labeling; definitions for major and minor non-compliances; and commented on April NOSB recommendations and new proposals.
