Public Affairs is proud to release its second issue of (ORE)ganic News, a newsletter highlighting sustainable, conservation practices for organic production.  This month’s issue features a success story on a Wasco county organic producer, as well as stories on pollinators and methods to promote pollinator habitat.  Also attached is Oregon’s Organic EQIP flyer.  Please include this as an insert with printed copies of the newsletter.

(ORE)ganic News is available in two formats, one for electronic distribution and the other for print.  The print version fits on one 11”x17” sheet printed double sided (Please note: This file is set-up so you can print the four-page newsletter on one 11x17 sheet and then fold in half for easy distribution).  The primary distribution for this newsletter should be vendors at your local farmers markets, as well as any other forums or events you feel would help promote NRCS with organic growers across Oregon.  The electronic version may be distributed to any and all appropriate email contacts.

(ORE)ganic News will be released once a month for the remainder of the summer, so be on the lookout for our next edition in August.  If you have any feedback or would like to submit an article for consideration, please contact Catherine Bailey at catherine.bailey@or.usda.gov.
