Kim Tait showed that organic agriculture is the fastest growing sector of agriculture through statistics and advocated the importance of USDA programs including the Organic Cost-Share Program, Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP), the National Organic Program, and Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (SARE).
She also suggested steps Congress can take to ensure growth in the organic industry and should be supported in the 2012 Farm Bill.
