Organically Grown in Oregon Week

Governor Theodore Kulongoski has declared the week of September 13-19, 2010, Organically Grown in Oregon Week.

In recognition of the importance of organic farmers, processors and distributors to the State of Oregon, Governor Ted Kulongoski has issued a proclamation declaring September 13-­19, 2010, Organically Grown in Oregon Week.

The week-­long celebration of the organic agricultural industry, including its certifiers, farmer’s markets and consumers, will include farm tours, grassroots events, a public awareness campaign, in-­store tastings, and the presentation of the 2010 Oregon Organic Coalition’s Awards in Excellence on September 15, during a luncheon ceremony at the Ecotrust Building in Portland, which will be keynoted by organic farmer Zoë Bradbury and her father, Bill Bradbury, former Oregon Secretary of State and longtime legislator.
