Washington State University Oregon Organic Ag Statistics
With cooperation from Oregon Tilth and WSDA Organic Food Program, Washington State University Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources (CSANR) has been compiling statistics to characterize the organic agriculture sector in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California.
With approximately 425 organic farms and almost 115,000 certified organic acres, the state of Oregon continues to see astounding growth in the organic sector. We are seeing substantial growth in the production of organic grains, pulses and oil seeds, as well as forage and other crops. Marion County has the most organic farms in the state, while Klamath County has the most acres certified.
