Zenger is a working urban farm that provides land to a year round Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).
A Working Urban Farm
Zenger Farm is a Portland-based non-profit educational farm, whose mission is to promote sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship and local economic development through a working urban farm. Zenger Farm is one of the few remaining working farms within the city limits, and the largest educational farm in the Metro area with almost 7,000 students visiting annually. Zenger Farm is a hub for food access and food education in the midst of tremendous need.
Zenger Farmers grow four acres of mixed vegetables and fruits, raise laying hens year-round and turkeys seasonally. While the average bite of food travels 1500 miles to get from farm to fork, produce grown at Zenger Farm stays in Portland. Find Zenger Farm produce at their Farm Stand, Fridays, 3-6pm, July-September and in local restaurants. Or, enjoy a share of the harvest weekly from June-November through their CSA program, Zenger Farm Shares (EBT accepted).
