Metro’s Gardens of Natural Delights™ Tour
Fresh from its record-breaking 10th anniversary in 2008, Metro’s popular garden tour is debuting a new look. This year’s program features six mini-tours over as many months. Each event will showcase three all-organic home gardens plus a public demonstration garden with seminars and free resources. With tour sites grouped closer together, visitors can enjoy more time with garden hosts, spend less time driving, and discover natural gardening education opportunities close to home.
Metro’s annual tour of flourishing, attractive gardens gives guests a first-hand look at how healthy plants can thrive without the use of synthetic chemicals. Tour participants can talk with the gardeners who designed and now maintain their gardens to learn about natural gardening techniques.
The Organic Education Center's (OEC) demonstration garden at Luscher Farm is proud to once again be a stop along the Metro Natural Gardening Tour. The OEC's tour is scheduled for Sunday July 19th, 2009. Visit Metro's website for more information.
