Oregon Tilth offers services to evaluate crop and handling operations that comply to the Mexican Organic Standards (LPO). All operations located in Mexico which conduct organic sales within the national market in Mexico are required to become certified to the LPO. As of April 29, 2017, all operations seeking to export products to Mexico will be required to become certified to the LPO or accepted under an Equivalency agreement. The Mexico Guidelines for Organic Operation & the General Rules for Use of the National Seal define specific requirements for organic products to be labeled as organic or that bear the Mexico Organic seal.
