Building Resilient Cropping Systems and Conserving Water
Bringing Life Back into Farming: Brendon Rockey
Join the Benton Soil & Water Conservation District for an afternoon with Brendon Rockey, a Colorado farmer from the drought-stricken San Luis Valley. Brendon will speak in Corvallis from 3-6 PM on Friday, August 19, 2016 and share the rationale behind his family’s farming practices of using cover crops to build soil health and maximize water resources. To complement Brendon Rockey’s presentation, Amy Garrett will share the findings of OSU Extension Small Farm’s Dry Farming Collaborative effort. The presentations will be followed with tapas and a no-host bar at 6 PM, so you will have a chance to talk with Brendon and Amy.
Cost: $10 suggested donation at the door
Location: LaSells Stewart Center, OSU, Corvallis
