Grain Place Foundation’s 25th Annual Summer Farm Tour and Field Day

This July, organic farmers, food producers and enthusiasts from across the Great Plains and the U.S. will gather on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Grain Place in Marquette, NE to learn and share ideas about best practices in organic farming and food production. The event features a morning tour of the Grain Place’s 280-acre farm, as well as a tour of Grain Place Foods, the organic grain processing facility on site, followed by a luncheon and keynote address.

Kyle Garner, CEO of Organic India will present the keynote address, “Agriculture Innovation, Protecting Small and Family Farms and a Vision: Challenges Facing Organic Agriculture and Trade.” In addition, there will be a special free screening of “Dreaming of a Vetter World,” a documentary about the Vetter family’s history of organic farming and its dedication to regenerating soil through organic methods.

The event is free to attend, as well as the keynote speaker session.
