March 25, 2015 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

Consumer demand for organically produced goods has shown double-digit growth during most years since the 1990s. Organic sales account for 4 percent of the food supply with organic agriculture occupying 0.7 percent of farmland in the United States.

Successful organic farmers will discuss best practices they use to increase yields and profitability, Sarah Brown, of Oregon Tilth will review standards and strategies for growing the organic sector, and the NRCS will present programs available for organic production. This event is free of charge and a complimentary lunch will be provided.
