Communications and Marketing Jobs



The Senior Communications and Marketing Strategist will lead and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies for Oregon Tilth. This role will elevate the organization’s brand and mission by implementing strategic communication and marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms. Engaging stakeholders, leveraging partnerships, and creating compelling storytelling (visual and written) experiences. The Senior Communications and Marketing Strategist will work closely with various teams across the organization, including Education and Advocacy and Certification, to ensure consistent and effective communication that furthers the reach and impact of Oregon Tilth.


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related field. At least 3 years of management experience overseeing program or departmental operations, and a true passion for brand and educational storytelling.
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite), web content management systems (e.g., WordPress), email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp), and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a proactive, self-starting attitude. Ability to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement within the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills for diverse audiences and purposes. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.


  • Experience in/understanding of food and agriculture policy.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to write, edit, and proofread professional-quality content in both languages, ensuring accuracy.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with experience in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing programs.
  • Non-profit experience and a demonstrated commitment to sustainable and organic agriculture.


The is a fully remote, exempt level position. The salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $76,000.00 depending on experience. This position also includes a $5,000.00 hiring bonus (conditions apply).

The total pay range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience and training, location, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tilth, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted pay range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
