Managing Your Certification

From time to time, you will need to make updates to your operation. For example, you might need to remove old, no longer needed materials or add a new crop rotation for your farm. Meanwhile, at your processing business, you may need to change to a product recipe or detail new sanitation protocols.

No matter the scenario, before you make a change to your operation, you must update your Organic System Plan (OSP) and review the proposed changes with OTCO. Acting before working with OTCO for review could jeopardizing your certification.

Additions and updates to crop certification

Here are a few of the most common updates you may encounter for your farm business:

• Add land to my certification
• Update contact information
• Update crop list or crop rotation
• Add or remove a material
• Add crop certification covered on-farm processing

Once we receive your completed forms, your client service team will review your update requests and work with you if additional information is required.

Additions and updates to livestock certification

Here are a few of the most common OSP updates you may need for your livestock operation:

• Add a new facility
• Add a new species of livestock
• Add land or outdoor access to my certification
• Add or remove a material
• Update contact information
• Update crop list or crop rotation
