Oregon Tilth is committed to providing service throughout the COVID-19 crisis, doing our part to ensure we help others bring safe, high-quality organic food to tables nationwide.

Of equal importance, is how we exhibit care and support for our staff, our clients, and the millions of people who look to the organic movement to provide healthful, wholesome products.

Just know, we’re here. We’re going to juggle all of these uncertainties with our knack for problem-solving. We’re sharing ideas and building new ways to deliver service that keeps businesses going and food accessible. We’re connecting with partners to crowd source ideas. And we’ll do it with kindness and care.  

Here are a few updates on what we’re doing and changes in place:

• We’ve closed our physical offices in Oregon and Mexico.
  Our offices are closed effective March 16, 2020 through July 6, 2020. We’re primarily an all-remote organization, so our staff is well equipped and prepared to continue service delivery. We will monitor and determine if the closures need to be changed or extended.
• We’ve cancelled all on-site inspections.
  Our teams are not traveling, we’ve implemented a remote audit policy to conduct inspections throughout the COVID-19 crisis while maintaining organic integrity and standards.
• We’re implementing new policies to ensure compliance.
  It’s critical that integrity doesn’t take a backseat, despite the hundreds of new complications from this crisis. We’re working on plans that protect public health while also making sure organic standards are met.
• We’ve launched a COVID-19 dedicated resource page.
  Our team is updating the page on a weekly, if not more often, basis with helpful webinars, guides, and news updates for everyone in the organic food sector.
• We’re connecting farmers and food companies to resources.
  From our own webinars to the hard work of partners, we’ll continue to share everything and anything we can that may help food producers across the country.
