Conservation Buffers to Support Beneficial Insects on Organic Farms

This webinar was presented in partnership with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) – Science and Technology National Technology Support Centers.

Beneficial insects provide crucial pollination and pest control services in organic farming systems. This webinar will explore the use of conservation buffers to help producers attract and sustain beneficial insects, and how these same buffers and associated cropping practices can help meet the natural resource and biodiversity conservation criteria of the National Organic Program. Experts from the Xerces Society will also share information on technical guidance available to conservation planners and landowners.

Speaker:

  • Mace Vaughan, Pollinator Program Co-Director, Xerces Society, Partner Biologist and Pollinator Specialist, USDA NRCS West National Technology Support Center
