Key Updates

  • Sales reporting periods – we have standardized a 365-day sales reporting period based on your renewal date.
    • Those clients with a renewal date of January 1, 2026, should report sales from 10/01/2024 to 09/30/2025.
    • Those clients with a renewal date of April 1, 2026, should report sales from 01/01/25-12/31/25.
  • We have added ‘resellers’ to the Processor/Handler Class (Wholesale)
  • We have clarified obligations of Production Partnerships, including verification with the lead partner that a partnership relationship exists.
  • We have increased the cancelled inspection cost from $100 to $500.
  • Bee Better certification now requires an annual $75 certification fee for farm/growers and processors. Every third year this fee will increase to $500 for farm/grower operations. The third-year fee for processors will remain at $1,000.
  • EU compliance fees for farms/growers will increase from $100 to $500 and fees for processors will increase from $295 to $1,000. This is due to extensive revisions to the standards and the amount of time to certify compliance.
  • We have added a $50 material review charge to mid-year additions for those material inputs not listed by Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), the Washington Department of Agriculture (WSDA) or the California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA).
