Transforming Manure from Waste to Worth

Watch this webinar to learn about maximizing the use of manure in organic cropping systems.

Panelists cover the nitrogen plant availability of several common organic sources — compost, manure, cover crops, and specialty products — as well as how to estimate the timing of nitrogen availability during the lifecycle of these sources. The webinar walks through how to estimate nitrogen contribution and availability from mineralization, e.g., all previous applications of manure, compost, and cover crops over time.

This webinar was presented in partnership with the USDA NRCS Science and Technology.

Speaker:

Rick Koelsch, Professor, Biological Systems Engineering & Animal Science, University of Nebraska – Lincoln
