Summary: Bee Better Certified™ recognizes farms and businesses that create habitats for pollinators and adopt pollinator-friendly practices. Certification lasts three years, with annual updates required, and is available to both organic and conventional operations.
What is Bee Better Certified™?
OTCO, in partnership with The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, offers Bee Better Certified™ to highlight farms and businesses that support pollinators. The program evaluates:
- The amount and quality of pollinator habitat created
- Use of pest management strategies that protect pollinators
Certification details
- Duration: Certification is valid for three years
- Updates: Annual updates with documentation are required to maintain certification
- Eligibility: Open to both organic and conventional farms
