Why Personal Care Products Need an OSP
Personal care products labeled “organic” or “made with organic” ingredients must meet strict standards under the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) or other applicable organic rules.
Your Organic System Plan (OSP) documents how your business sources, produces, packages, and labels personal care products in compliance with organic regulations. This includes details on ingredients, facility practices, pest management, and recordkeeping.
How to Update Your OSP for Personal Care Products

- Complete each form with current product and facility information.
- Submit the completed forms to your Oregon Tilth client service team before implementing changes.
