After a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer, editor-in-chief of In Good Tilth magazine, Andrew Rodman, passed away on January 7, 2017.
Remembered as a gifted wordsmith and talented artist, Andrew poured tens of thousands of hours into sharing positive stories about the organic community and movement. His tireless efforts to promote a better kind of agriculture were always filled with passion and good humor. Under Andrew’s leadership, the magazine became a core strategy for putting Oregon Tilth’s mission and work right in the middle of everyday conversations about the future of our food. He challenged norms. He elevated dialogue. And he never stopped working to change the status quo.
We’re deeply saddened and raw to lose such a bright light and measured baritone voice.
Andrew is one of the rare ones. A true talent. An uncommon, offbeat original. And a legendary friend who put you at ease and made you feel special.
