Personal Care Products
#OSP (Personal care)
The Organic System Plan (OSP) is the blueprint for your operation’s planned organic production practices.
USDA NOP regulations cannot be applied to personal care products that contain unapproved non-food ingredients or use different, unapproved manufacturing processes than food products.
The NSF/ANSI 305 Personal Care standard is a private organic standard with a special focus on the ingredients and processes for personal care products. Learn more about which standard fits your product.
If applying for the first time, note that you may not need to complete every form below.
- If you are already certified to the USDA National Organic Program standard, fill out the OSP – Personal Care Supplement only.
- If you are interested in NSF/ANSI 305 certification or USDA NOP certification get started by filling out the Operation Information (O1) and Activities Checklist for Handlers (H1) forms to learn which other documents are required for your operation. You’ll also need to fill out the OSP – Personal care supplement.
